Ada Snodgrass

October 24, 1916 — October 28, 2005

Ada Elizabeth Snodgrass went home with the Lord, Friday, October 28, 2005. She was 89 years old. She lived at the Rogers home of Deersville Ridge near Cadiz, Ohio for the past 73 years. She attended the school of Cosmetology in Marion, Ohio and worked as a beautician for many years. She was a life long member of Asbury Chapel Church and a delegate for the East Ohio Methodist Conference for 20 years. At Asbury, she served as custodian and held many offices. She sang in the choir, attended Sunday School and MYF. She also enjoyed helping with many dinners over the years. She was a member of the Brownsville Community Helping Hands in Deersville. She enjoyed baking, playing the harmonica and attending social functions such as Ourant and Barrett schoolhouse reunions and various family reunions from the Deersville Ridge area. She was loved and will be missed by Harold and Shirley Rogers of the home; Frances Morey and family of Caledonia, NY; Mary Rogers of Steubenville; Donnie and Vickie Rogers and family of Cadiz; David and Trudy (Rogers) Barr of Cadiz; Mike and Cindy Rogers and family of London, OH; and Chad, Emily and Carley Rogers of Cadiz. She helped raise many of us and was a blessing. In our hearts, she was Grandmother, Aunt and Dear Friend. Ada was born in 1916. She lived in Martins Ferry before coming to Deersville Ridge. She is preceded in death by her parents, Emmett and Mary Jane Schrader Snodgrass; three brothers, Glenn, Lawrence and Harold Snodgrass; and three sisters, June and Daisy Snodgrass and Isabel Milliken. She is survived by three sisters, Norma Furr, Vivian Corbin and Gertrude Carver, and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, where funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Hines Cemetery near Cadiz.
