A. Davia

A. Jean Davia, 74, of Cadiz, died Sunday, July 22, 2012 at Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville. She was born November 8, 1937 in Smithfield, OH, a daughter of the late Everett and Stella Smith Ankrom. Jean attended the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Harrisville. She was a former member of the Harrison County Democratic Women's Club and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, whom she married May 18, 1957, Jack V. Davia in 1990; four sisters, Martha Davis, Edna Brodzinski, Helen Leeper and Inez Bailey; and two brothers, Tom and Ralph Ankrom. Surviving are three sons, Jack (Janet) Davia of Jewett, Jody (Sheryl) Davia of Marysville, OH and Jamie (Laurie) Davia, of Bellefontaine, OH; eight grandchildren: Jaclyn, Jessica, Levi, Chad, Garrette, and Gage Davia, Nick Hoodlet and Colton Heck; two great grandchildren, Landon and Christopher Hoodlet; a sister, Doris (Larry) Birney of Jewett and two brothers, Jay (Nilah) Ankrom of Carrollton and Richard (Janet) Ankrom of Scio. Friends may call Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Barry Hall officiating.
